L. Katie Alfin Johnson

Since she was a wee tiny thing on her parent's shoulders clambering around the wilderness of New Hampshire, Katie has wanted nothing more than to be outdoors. In her early days, she worked as a youth theater counselor in Concord, New Hampshire for five summers while spending every free moment cycling or backpacking around the White Mountains. After graduating from Emerson College, she spent four months WWOOFing around the states and substituting as a snowboard instructor in Colorado before traveling to Australia. Through the pandemic, she worked as an outdoor education instructor teaching surfing, paddle boarding, kayaking/surf kayaking, snorkeling, and coastal mountain bike touring on Phillip Island for three seasons. Having recently returned to the northern hemisphere she is eager to share her excitement for the Vermont hills with anyone willing to join her.
Along with her studies as a yoga instructor (YTT 250 + Ayurvedic Specialty) and volunteering around Burlington, Katie will take any opportunity to ride her bike around Vermont or go hiking with her dog niece Roxanne. She is so eager to get back into climbing and spend the summer with some amazingly talented staff and campers!
