MJ is a current senior at the University of Vermont studying Psychology and Emergency Medical Services. She started rock and ice climbing through the UVM Outing Club and immediately fell in love with it, later deciding to pursue guiding. MJ has her Wilderness First Responder certification as well as her AMGA Single Pitch Instructor.

MJ’s passion for climbing is coupled with a passion for teaching others how to feel confident and competent outdoors. She is extremely passionate about teaching women/femme/nonbinary/queer climbers and creating a welcoming environment for all to be able to explore and grow.

Most of MJ’s climbing experience is in the Northeast in Vermont, New Hampshire, and New York. In the summers, MJ has been climbing and guiding in Devil’s Lake Wisconsin. Her favorite things to do when not climbing are reading, making (bad) art, running, and playing outside! Join MJ for a day of climbing, learning, and fun!
