Climbing Day Camp
For over 25 years, Petra Cliffs Climbing Center & Mountaineering School has offered camp programs for youth looking to get outside, explore, and have fun!
Petra Cliffs SumMAT (Summer “Mountain Adventure Training”) Camps provides a variety of opportunities for campers to challenge themselves mentally and physically through daily outdoor adventures. This day camp program is for campers who want to take a deeper dive into the world of rock climbing!
Under the leadership of Petra Cliffs’ professional guides, campers will explore some of the many outdoor climbing areas that make Vermont famous as a climbing destination. Focusing on climbing-specific skills like knots and hitches, route-reading, boulder pad placement, and more, this small group setting is a great way for your climber to build self-confidence, develop a deeper love of climbing, and get stoked!
Ages: 10 and up
Requirements: at least one session of our Classic Day Camp, or prior experience with Petra Cliffs after school climbing teams (Rec Team or higher), or similar program.
Registration will open at Midnight on February 1, 2026.
