As summer quickly approaches, it's time to get outside and climb on real stone! Before you take those winter gyms skills outside join Petra Cliffs Program Director and year-round guide; Tim Farr for a Gym to Crag Transitions Clinic. Come brush off some of those anchor building, belay take-over, and partner rescue skills as they apply to the cliffs around Vermont and beyond. This 2-hour clinic is free for Petra Members and only $5 for Non-Members (on-top of regular day pass rates).
Our popular Adult Co-Ed and Women's Clinics are open for registration and truly mark the start of the Fall season of programming at Petra Cliffs. Are you new to climbing or looking to better your skill level? One of our clinics could be just the right for for you!...
Whether you're thinking of climbing outdoors for the first time or you want to get your family together for a fun day, or you're looking to expand your skills on different type of rock, prepare for guiding exams, or learn to lead, we'll have a program for you! Our program locations range from Vermont (Bolton, Marshfield, Wheeler, Smuggler's Notch), the Adirondacks of New York, and New Hampshire (Cannon, Rumney, Cathedral & Whitehorse to name a few) to your ultimate dream destination
It's a GREAT time to think about a Backcountry Ski Program! Mid-week days still open for booking!
"I never thought I would say this but the East Coast might be the best place to ski in the lower 48. With major storms hammering the area, the skiing is all time. This video from Adam Wheeler shows a classic pow day at Mad River Glen."
There's no doubt that rock climbing trains both the mind and the body to overcome challenges, gain strength, and problem solve-- while getting a full body workout in a fun, social environment! Adult Level I Co-Ed and Women's Clinics teach the basics of climbing and build your foundation of good climbing skills and habits and introduce you to other climbers, and in Level II, take the skills you already have and build on them to increase strength, balance, and climbing capability.
Registration opens Wednesday, December 17! Returning climbers and new climbers welcome. We look forward to another great season! More info and registration
