Front desk staff are not required to possess advanced technical skills, but they should be first aid and CPR-certified. Teaching, supervising, and management experience is preferred. Are you looking for something more than the average day camp counselor experience? At Petra Cliffs' SumMAT Camp, our leaders have increased flexibility, increased freedom, and - therefore - increased responsibility.
We are looking for individuals capable of planning and executing full-day programs for their groups (within the constructs of a weekly schedule) and being responsible for the group's enjoyment and well-being during that time.
Leaders are not required to possess technical skills, but they must be first aid and CPR-certified. Teaching, coaching, and/or camp experience is preferred, but all applicants with high energy and enthusiasm, a general love for children and all things outdoors, and an attention to safety and details should contact us.
Level 1 Leader: minimum 21 years of age, Wilderness First Responder-certified (and first aid & CPR), valid drivers' license
Level 2 Leader: minimum 18 years of age, first aid and CPR-certified
