Institutional Program Pricing
When you call to book a program, we will ask you several questions. You can greatly facilitate this process if you know:
- How many participants and how many chaperones you will have.
- Who your participants will be — if your group has special needs, are a mixed group of ages, etc. we would like to know ahead of time.
- How many Petra Cliffs certified belayers you will provide, if any.
- Whether or not you will need Petra Cliffs to supply any equipment and what equipment will be needed.
We have created a price list for the most common types of groups that use our facility. If you don’t see a program that fits the needs of your group (i.e. especially large groups, a lock-in, etc.) or you have any questions, please feel free to call and we will be happy to help you out.
Option 1
Your group does not need Petra Cliffs to supply any climbing equipment, and you will supply your own Petra Cliffs certified belayers, at a ratio of at least one belayer per five participants. It will cost $8 per Participant for up to three hours of time. If you want to stay longer than three hours, we will discount our regularly published prices 15%.
Option 2
Your group will need Petra Cliffs to supply climbing equipment but you will supply your own Petra Cliffs certified belayers. Petra Cliffs does not supply rock-climbing shoes for this program, however they are available for an additional $ 2 per pair. It will cost $10 per participant ages 11 and under, $12 per participant ages 12 and over for up to three hours of time.
- Many groups like to include the ropes course as part of a recreational "group climbing" experience. The per person rate then becomes $18.
Option 3
Your group will need Petra Cliffs to supply all climbing equipment and belayers. Petra Cliffs does not provide rock climbing shoes for this program, however they are available for an additional $2 per pair. It will cost $10 per participant ages 11 and under, $12 per participant ages 12 and over. We charge $25 per hour per belayer.
- Many groups like to include the ropes course as part of a recreational "group climbing" experience. The per person rate then becomes $20.
Belayer Training
We are happy to certify your staff members to belay in our facility. This process generally only takes ten minutes or so and takes place before your group’s visit. This costs $5 per person. Participants in your program that are 12 or older may also be belay certified. We offer this service to your group for $20 up to 10 participants. Each additional participant will be $2 more.
- Institutional prices are for groups of four or more people
- A belayer is a person certified by Petra Cliffs to safely manage the rope for a climber. Their main responsibility is two fold: 1) control the brake end of the rope and 2) manage the slack in the rope.
- The prices presented here represent the lowest prices we can offer.
- 7 days notice is required to guarantee availability, although we can often accommodate you with less notice
