CO-Ed Indoor Climbing I
Cover the climbing basics while developing balance, flexibility and strength. Learn how to read routes, belay, boulder, and more.
- Dates: Tuesdays, October 11 - November 15
- Time: 6 - 8 pm
- Cost: $175, includes all technical equipment and 6 additional visits

Women's Indoor Climbing I
Our for-women-by-women classes are a great opportunity to learn in a comfortable environment. These clinics cover everything from climbing basics to intermediate technique and skill building.

- Time: 6 - 8 pm
- Cost: $175, includes all technical equipment and 6 additional visits
Women's Indoor Climbing II
- Dates: Thursdays, October 13 - November 17
- Time: 7 - 9 pm

Junior Climbing Team
Interested in Climbing? This is a great opportunity for ages 8-14 to join other youth climbers and improve climbing skills. Come join like minded kids, one or two nights a week to learn the basics, train for the next competition, or just have fun. No experience needed. Please call Petra Cliffs to register.
- Session 1: Monday and/or Wednesday, September 19 to December 19
- Time: 5 - 7 pm
- Cost: $265
- Includes: Climbing instruction during Team sessions, Full membership to Petra Cliffs and use of rental gear anytime.
- Session 2 is geared to get team members ready for the USA Climbing competition season, which will begin in March. Climbers will be taught competition rules and techniques to succeed at completions.
- Session 2: Monday and/or Wednesday, mid-January to mid-March
Time: 5 - 7 pm
Cost: $250
Includes: Climbing instruction during Team sessions, Full membership to Petra Cliffs and use of rental gear anytime.- Session 3: Bring on the competitions! Train during the week and travel to competition on Saturdays. Competitions are optional but strongly recommended.
- Session 3: Monday and/or Wednesday, mid-March to mid-May
Time: 5 - 7 pm

High School Climbing Team
This newly formed Team is for climbers ages 14 and up. The team will focus on movement, technique, and training to improve climbing ability. Climbers will have the option of competing in USA Climbing Competitions in the spring.

Friday Night Kid's Club
Parents, enjoy an evening out while your children burn energy, develop coordination, build self-confidence, and practice group problem solving under the supervision of the Petra Cliffs staff.

Beginning Ice I & II
Along with a skilled instructor, you will learn how to move over easy to moderate terrain. Top-roped climbing allows you the freedom to master belaying, rappelling and climbing skills. Also, learn how to build ice anchors, how to rappel from them, and experience and easy multi-pitch route.

Women's Ice I & II
Our for-women-by-women ice climbing class is a great way to learn about the exhilarating sport of climbing ice — in a no-pressure environment. Women’s Ice I is open to ladies of all ages and abilities. Join us and learn how to move over easy to moderate terrain using crampons and ice axes.

Introduction to Mountaineering
Learn the fundamentals of safe winter travel over snow and ice. Components of instruction include use of crampons and ice axe, rope management skills, glissading and self-arrest techniques.

Avalanche Awareness and Rescue
This is a must for all skiers, snowboarders, climbers and backcountry enthusiasts. Learn the basics of avoiding avalanches, including route selection, evaluating avalanche potential, and rescue procedures.

SUMMAT Camp
Summer Mountain Adventure Training Camp (SumMAT) offers summer adventures, challenges and fun for campers ages 6 to 16, in the form of day camp and one-week overnight excursions. SumMAT features a variety of exciting outdoor activities set in some of Vermont’s most inspiring wilderness areas.

Winter Vacation Camp
A great opportunity for kids to fill their days off from school with fun, educational, winter adventures. Campers enjoy staff supervised outings that include activities like outdoor ice climbing, indoor rock climbing, skiing, snow shoeing, games, ropes courses, and more.
