Cover the climbing basics while developing balance, flexibility and strength. Learn how to read routes, belay, boulder, and more.

Women’s Indoor Climbing I

Our for-women-by-women classes are a great opportunity to learn in a comfortable environment. These clinics cover everything from climbing basics to intermediate technique and skill building.

Junior Climbing Club

This is a great opportunity for kids 10-and-up to improve their climbing skills in a fun, non-competitive atmosphere, while developing and strengthening bonds with other youth in the community.

Session:   Wednesdays, September 12 - December 12
Age Groups:   6 - 9 year olds, 4 - 6 pm;   Age 10 and up, 6 - 8 pm
Cost:   $ 385 or $ 35 per day, includes equipment, full Climbing Center membership & instruction

Junior Climbing Team

A great opportunity for ages 10-18 to join other youth climbers and improve climbing skills. This team practices twice a week to build up to competition season from March to May. We will travel to 7-8 competitions throughout New England (all day trips). This team is sanctioned by USA Climbing, the national governing body for competition climbing in the disciplines of Sport Climbing, Bouldering, and Speed. Friday Night Kid’s Club

From beginner to intermediate, this clinic focuses on technique, balance, body movement, and footwork.

Lead Climbing Clinics

For the intermediate climber, the next step is to get on the sharp end! Choose between sport lead climbing and traditional lead climbing. Learn clipping techniques, placing and evaluating gear, rope management, and anchor building.

Anchor Building Clinics

This two day course teaches the essentials for building and evaluating top-rope anchors using natural and artificial protection.

Beginning Ice I & II

Along with a skilled instructor, you will learn how to move over easy to moderate terrain. Top-roped climbing allows you the freedom to master belaying, rappelling and climbing skills. Also, learn how to build ice anchors, how to rappel from them, and experience and easy multi-pitch route.

Women’s Ice I & II

Our for-women-by-women ice climbing class is a great way to learn about the exhilarating sport of climbing ice — in a no-pressure environment. Women’s Ice I is open to ladies of all ages and abilities. Join us and learn how to move over easy to moderate terrain using crampons and ice axes.

Introduction to Mountaineering

Learn the fundamentals of safe winter travel over snow and ice. Components of instruction include use of crampons and ice axe, rope management skills, glissading and self-arrest techniques.

Avalanche Awareness and Rescue

This is a must for all skiers, snowboarders, climbers and backcountry enthusiasts. Learn the basics of avoiding avalanches, including route selection, evaluating avalanche potential, and rescue procedures.

SUMMAT

Summer Mountain Adventure Training Camp (SumMAT) offers summer adventures, challenges and fun for campers ages 6 to 16, in the form of day camp and one-week overnight excursions. SumMAT features a variety of exciting outdoor activities set in some of Vermont’s most inspiring wilderness areas.

Winter Vacation Camp

A great opportunity for kids to fill their days off from school with fun, educational, winter adventures. Campers enjoy staff supervised outings that include activities like outdoor ice climbing, indoor rock climbing, skiing, snow shoeing, games, ropes courses, and more.
